Assalam o alaikum! 😊
I am here yet again with a brand-new
post. This time, we are going to talk about “how to overcome the fear of
failure?” In fact, I wanted to write about some English literature books, but
this post is requested So let’s dive into it.

Most of the people that I know fear
failure. You may also be one of them. But have you defined failure? What is failure
actually? Is it defined as giving up before reaching the goal? Is it not being
able to fulfill your desires? Or is it not being able to reach your settled-up
goal according to an already set-up timeline?
Okay, I ask you Is failure even a
real thing?
What if there is not any such thing
called “failure”? Yeah, think about it.
All of us were sent to school and in
the kindergarten, we were told, or I shall say “brainwashed” that this symbol “✓” is better
than this “X”. In our High schools, we were told, that this grade “A” is better
than this “F”. But does our life end here?
Someone was knocked out of school/
college because of this A and F thing. Is this what we call failure. But there
is a hidden story behind this failure. This person always knew what he wanted
to be in life until he was sent to high school. And what he wanted was way
different from the traditional approach. His parents were middle class
employees who had enough to make both ends meet but didn’t have enough courage
to stand different from a typical society.
Their thinking was the same
traditional thinking, which says, “our child will become a doctor or engineer and
we will have more respect in our society” But what if poor thing does not want
to be a doctor and want to be a musician. “Oh, we are embarrassed to call you
our son, is this what we have been raising you for? You are failing at life,
you won’t have an esteemed place in this society”
No, I am not arguing over the need
to choose a right profession, I am also not saying that “Education is not
important, the point is about 90 % of the time, we are thinking about others. “What
other people are going to say” or in our Pakistani society “log kia kahain gay?”
We always try to meet the standards
of “others” and our failure is also defined by these later mentioned standards.
Which are nothing than imaginative monsters, same as the monsters as we used to
think about in our childhood. Do you remember those monsters under your bed, in
the closet, behind the doors? They didn’t exist, they were all in your head.
The solution to this problem is,
always, always act according to your thoughts. Do what you want to do.
You know what let’s reveal a secret…………………...!!
All those “others” are all the same,
Why? Because none of them has got enough courage to look and do different from
all his fellow “others”. How pathetic?
Seems foolish, right? Then why are
you always struggling to be like them?
Failure is nothing but just a state
of mind.
Once Robert Allen said, “There is
no failure. Only feedback”.
Be persistent in doing, don’t stand
still, don’t give-up. Do not fear failure as failure is nothing but determining
your way to achieve your goal. Fear lack of progress. Reality is failure does
not stop you from moving forward, but the fear of failure does.
Always at night, before going to
sleep, think about all those “I must have, I shell have” type of ideas. Pick
one of them and convert it into “I will do it” Why? Because “you can” and go to
sleep. The next morning wake up with a new energy and start doing. Think of all
those people who have already achieved what you are aiming for. Think about it,
those achievers didn’t have two brains in their skull.
I won’t list three, ten, twelve or
fourteen “proven” strategies to overcome the fear of failure. There is only one
thing and that is 100 % proven and that is “Believe in yourself”. I wish all of you "Best of luck" in your lives.
Thanks for reading my post. Please comment, if you ever stop doing what you loved to do just because of "fear of failure".
