Different ways to walk (Vocabulary)


Amble:

walking leisurely.

I ambled at my rooftop.


Flounder:

Walking with difficulty, usually in the water or mud.

He was floundering at the beach.


Saunter:

Same as amble, walking slowly, leisurely without any aim.

He sauntered into my room.


Ramble:

same as amble, walking slowly, leisurely on the countryside.

He spent a lot of time rambling there.


Somnambulant: walking in sleep.

He walks like a somnambulant.


Stagger: same as flounder, walking difficulty.

She staggered as she hit her head.


Stroll: same as amble, walking leisurely.

He strolled around the town.


Stumble, missing a step and falling. Almost falling.

She stumbled as her foot caught in a string.


Totter:

Moving without being stable.

A toddler was tottering around the house.


Waddle:

same as totter, walking unsteadily.

Duck along with ducklings waddled across the road.
