Astronomy is the study of universe.
It studies all the things that are
there in the universe e.g. space, dust, all celestial bodies in it.
Astronomy includes all the theories
and observations about the universe.
It covers all the questions like,
how was this universe created?
Who or what event became the reason
for its creation?
How many galaxies are there?
How does our galaxy work?
It
includes all the information that we humans, the inhabitants of the planet
Earth were able to access or derive from our observations.
The
universe is defined as “the totality of everything that exists” it includes all the galaxies, planets, stars, matter, energy and
all the contents of intergalactic space.
The astronomical system of units is
used in astronomy for measurements.
It was adopted by the
International Astronomical Union in 1976.
Astronomical Unit of time: is the day,
including 86,400 seconds. 365.25 days to make up one Julian year.
Astronomical Unit of mass: is the solar
mass. The solar mass is 1.98892×1030 kg.
Astronomical unit of length: is defined as the average distance between the Earth and the Sun. It is
approximately 150 million kilometers or exactly 149,597,870,700 meters.
Astronomical unit, light year and parsec
are the units for measuring huge distances.
A light year is the distance a light can travel in one
year in a vacuum. It is about 9.46053×1012 kilometers
or 63,240 AU or 5.8×1012
miles.
A parsec is a unit of distance that is equal to 3.26
light years.
An astronomical unit is a unit of length, roughly the distance from Earth to the Sun. However, that distance varies as Earth orbits the Sun, from a maximum to a minimum and back again once a year. chemistry analysis
